John Lord

John Lord, CPA, has extensive experience in academia and professional education, currently serving as faculty at Stanford University’s Department of Management Science & Engineering since January 2018. Lord has been part of the Accounting Department Faculty at Golden Gate University since September 2000, focusing on Auditing, Governmental, and Not-for-Profit Accounting. Since June 1995, Lord has held the position of San Francisco Lead Faculty at Becker Professional Education, responsible for scheduling, teaching, and ensuring quality instruction for CPA review courses in the San Francisco Bay Area, as well as teaching live CPA review courses in Northern California. Additional teaching roles include faculty positions at San Francisco State University and San Jose State University, and serving as an adjunct professor at the University of California, Berkeley, from June 2017 to March 2019. Prior to this, Lord worked as a Senior Audit Manager at the US Government Accountability Office from January 1988 to March 2014, leading audits of Federal Agencies' financial reporting and operations.
