Tom Freestone

Tom Freestone has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and positions. Tom is currently an Operating Director at Beckway since November 2020 and is also a founder and principal consultant at Freestone Enterprises LLC since August 2019. Previously, they worked as an Executive Search Partner at Patina Solutions from July 2020 to October 2022. Additionally, they served as a Process Improvement Consultant (Independent Consultant) at Business Talent Group from June 2020 to July 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Program Management Officer (Independent Consultant) at BeckWay Group from August 2019 to February 2020. Tom also has extensive experience as an Operations Director at PCC Structurals, Inc. from September 2017 to August 2019 and as an Operations Manager, Senior Operations Project Manager, and Senior Engineering Project Manager at United Technologies from September 2016 to September 2017, April 2016 to September 2016, and April 2010 to April 2016 respectively. Tom has also worked as a Sr. Design Engineer at Capstone Turbine Corporation from May 2008 to March 2010, a Design Engineer at Goodrich from January 2006 to May 2008, and a Manufacturing Engineer at Senior Aerospace Jet Products from November 2004 to January 2006.

Tom Freestone obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder, which they attended from 1999 to 2004. Tom later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Finance at Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business from 2010 to 2011.

In addition to their formal education, Tom has obtained several certifications. Tom received a Six Sigma Lean Black Belt Professional certification from the Management and Strategy Institute in May 2020. Tom also obtained a Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certification from the same institution in 2020. In 2019, they earned a Certificate in General Management from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business. Tom holds a Certificate for Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing from United Technologies, obtained in 2016. Tom also obtained a Certificate in Product Management from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business in 2015. Furthermore, they hold a Project Management Institute - Agile Certification (PMP-ACP), which they obtained in July 2013 from the Project Management Institute.
