Peter Avis

Peter Avis is a retired professional with extensive experience in educational technology and policy. From 1997 to the present, they have served as the Director of Educational Policy at Becta, where they were responsible for strategy and government relations. Prior to this, Peter held various leadership roles, including Director at RESOURCE and the Microelectronic Education Programme, as well as Head of Mathematics at Anthony Gell School. Since retirement in 2011, they have focused on writing the history of educational technology and continue to offer assistance in this field. Peter earned a BSc in Chemical Physics from the University of Sussex and a PhD in Photophysics from UCL.
