David Jackson has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. David began their career in the United States Air Force in 2000, where they held various roles such as Fuels Distribution System Operator, Training Manager, and Air Force Logistics Superintendent. In these positions, they managed training programs, coordinated logistics operations, and provided strategic guidance to ensure mission readiness.

In 2013, David also joined Wilmington University as an Adjunct Faculty member, where they instructed undergraduate and graduate level students and developed course curriculum.

During their tenure in the Air Force, David also served as the Process Improvement Manager/Chief Innovation Officer, where they implemented Lean/Six Sigma and Continuous Process Improvement programs. David reviewed organizational metrics to identify improvement opportunities and facilitated cross-organizational projects.

Additionally, David has had recent experiences outside of the Air Force. David served as an AFWERX Fellow at AFWERX and a Defense Ventures Fellow at Refinery Ventures. These roles allowed him to contribute to innovation and entrepreneurial initiatives in the defense sector.

Currently, David is the 4th Air Force Fuels (Petroleum) Manager in the US Air Force Reserve. Here, they oversee training for Air Force Fuels Management Units and provides mentorship to Air Force Reserve members in the Fuels Management Career Field.

David's work experience demonstrates their expertise in leadership, training management, process improvement, and innovation.

David Jackson has a diverse education history. In 2000 to 2004, they attended the Community College of the Air Force and obtained an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Logistics Management. Following that, they pursued further education at Wilmington University, where they completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) in General Studies from 2006 to 2008.

Continuing their education at Wilmington University, David earned another Bachelor of Science (BS) degree, this time in Business Management and Professional Aeronautics, from 2009 to 2011. During the same period, they also obtained a Professional Manager Certification from the Community College of the Air Force in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management.

In 2011, David enrolled at Wilmington University once again and pursued a Master of Science in Management (MSM) with a focus in Organizational Leadership, which they completed in 2012. Simultaneously, they obtained a Professional Manager Certification in Management from the Community College of the Air Force.

After a brief period, David attended the Community College of the Air Force again from 2013 to 2014 and obtained an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Education and Training Management.

Regarding certifications, David obtained the Designing Learning Certification from the Association for Talent Development (ATD) in September 2016, and achieved the ATD Master Performance Consultant certification from the same institution in August 2017. In January 2020, they earned a Green Belt Certification (GB) from the United States Air Force. Most recently, in August 2022, David obtained the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act certification from Traliant.

Looking ahead, David has plans to pursue a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Military and Strategic Leadership from the USAF Air Command and Staff College, which they are scheduled to complete between 2022 and 2023.
