Bee Inspired®, formerly Waxing Kara, is a Maryland honey and Farm to Body® brand founded by artist and beekeeper Kara Brook Brown in 2012 and rebranded in 2023.

Our unwavering dedication revolves around the honeybee. From the meticulously chosen ingredients we utilize to the message we strive to convey within our community, everything centers on these extraordinary pollinators who offer an inspiring connection with nature and the seasons.

We bottle single-varietal raw honey and handmake honey-based skincare, candles, teas, and gifts from our retail and production facility in Owings Mills, with beekeeping at Chesterhaven Beach Farm on Maryland's Eastern Shore. Our honey is Star-K Kosher certified, and our Roots & Wings program connects every purchase to pollinator habitat and youth arts education.
