Funded solely by the public and generous donations, the BEEP DOCTORS - a small local charity - has been bringing skilled emergency 'ON-CALL VOLUNTEER' doctors to the scene of accidents and medical emergencies for almost 30 years across Cumbria. With 12 highly skilled doctors and a fleet of 3 responder vehicles our service spans the length and breadth of the entire Cumbria region, from Whitehaven in the West to the Scottish Borders and down to Kendal in the South.

Whether it’s roadside assistance for a traffic accident, urgent in-home care during life-threatening situations, assisting mountain rescue or farming incidents, our dedicated volunteer team of doctors—on call 24/7, 365 days a year—offers specialised pre-hospital critical care interventions beyond the scope of paramedics, that has saved numerous lives over the years.

Collaborating with the ambulance service, our volunteer doctors aim to achieve the best possible outcomes for patients, offering advanced medical support right at the accident or medical emergency scene.

👑AWARDED THE KING'S AWARD FOR VOLUNTARY SERVICE 2023👑 #KAVS2023

CONTINUOUS OPERATION OF OUR CHARITY IS SOLELY RELIANT ON PUBLIC DONTATIONS AND REQUIRES APPROXIMATELY £250k PER YEAR.
