Macarena Lara

Macarena Lara has a diverse work experience in the fields of administration, control management, audit, and consulting. Macarena started their career as a Practica Profesional at EY in 2014. Macarena then worked as a Staff member at EY from October 2015 to June 2017, where they were responsible for auditing companies and managing audit teams. Macarena was later promoted to Audit Semi Senior at EY, where they continued to lead audit teams and perform financial audits for various companies from July 2017 to June 2018. From July 2018 to April 2019, they worked as a Senior Financial Auditor at EY, specializing in the audit of Colchones Rosen SAIC and utilizing SAP R3 for cost analysis. After that, they briefly worked as a Fiscalizador at Contraloría General de la República de Chile. Macarena then joined Protiviti Chile as a Senior Consultant from October 2019 to April 2021, where they managed projects, conducted audits, provided advisory services, and prepared internal control reports and financial statements. Macarena was later promoted to the role of Manager at Protiviti Chile, where they were in charge of budget control, project management, and process improvement from May 2021 to May 2022. Currently, they work as an Administration and Control Manager at BeeReaders, where they standardize accounting and internal control policies for multiple countries, analyzes balance variations, and prepares monthly financial statements for the group's companies.

Macarena Lara obtained their degree in Contador Auditor from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, where they studied from 2010 to 2015. In 2018 and 2019, they attended EYU and completed a degree in EDP with a focus on Ingles empresarial. Prior to their university studies, they completed their secondary education at Colegio San Ignacio de Loyola from 2005 to 2009, earning a degree in Educación Media Completa. In 2020, Macarena attended Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile for a course in SQL, specifically in the Introducción y aplicación lenguaje SQL field of study. Most recently, in 2021, they furthered their education in IFRS implementation at the same university.
