Stephen Dorris

Stephen Dorris has a diverse range of work experience. Stephen currently works as a Software Engineer at FreeWheel, starting in December 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Software Engineer at Beeswax, a company recently acquired by FreeWheel, where they worked on the Userdata team and focused on large-scale cloud data pipelines.

Stephen also has experience as an AI Researcher at Griffiss Institute, where they worked from June 2021 to September 2021. Before that, they worked as an Artificial Intelligence Research Co-Op at Griffiss Institute in collaboration with the Air Force Research Lab Information Directorate. In this role, they worked on planning agents for multi-unit, multi-action strategy games.

In terms of teaching experience, Stephen served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Northeastern University College of Computer and Information Science. Stephen assisted in the courses CS 3500 (Object Oriented Design in Java) and CS 5001 (Intensive Foundations of Computer Science) and provided grading feedback and office hours support.

Stephen also has experience outside of the tech field. Stephen worked as a Server at Back Bay Social Club, handling large private events and conferences. Additionally, they worked as a Database Management Analytics Co-Op at Liberty Mutual Insurance, where they developed SQL programs and Advanced Excel tools for data analysis.

In their earlier years, Stephen worked as a Lifeguard at Aquatic Ventures LLC, where they were responsible for performing rescues, providing first aid, and enforcing pool rules.

Stephen Dorris completed their Bachelor's degree in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies at Northeastern University from 2014 to 2018. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science at the same institution from 2018 to 2021.
