James Twiss

James Twiss has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. James began their career in 1998 at McKinsey & Company, where they served as Director of the MD's Office and Associate Principal. In 2010, they moved to the Commonwealth Bank of Australia as General Manager of Group Strategic Development. From 2011 to 2017, Twiss was Managing Director of Americas for First Sentier Investors, where they built the United States, Canada, and Latin America division from the ground up and grew it to $8 billion in assets. In 2018, they joined Westpac as Chief Data Officer, and in 2017 they were appointed Chief Strategy Officer for the Westpac Group. In 2021, Twiss took on the role of Chief Executive Officer at Beforepay, an ethical alternative to predatory lending and revolving debt.

James Twiss completed their education history starting with Lakeside High School from 1990 to 1994. James then attended Deep Springs College from 1994 to 1995. After that, they obtained a BA in Slavic Languages and Literature from Harvard University from 1995 to 1998. James then went on to pursue an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business from 2000 to 2002. Most recently, they are currently enrolled in a Master's degree program in Data Science at UNSW from 2021 to 2022.
