Robert Flaherty

Mr. Flaherty has served as a Behrman Capital Operating Partner since March 2009. He has more than 35 years of operating experience in the healthcare field, with particular expertise in the clinical laboratory environment. He currently serves on the board of Emmes Corporation, a contract research organization that partners with government, private foundation and commercial clients to develop treatments for diseases and disorders impacting public health. Previously Mr Flaherty served on the board of Ark Holdings, a nursing home chain which was owned by Behrman for six years before being sold to a REIT. Prior to that, Mr. Flaherty was President and CEO of Athena Diagnostics, also a Behrman portfolio company which was sold to Fisher Scientific after three years. Earlier in his career he held a series of senior management positions at Becton Dickinson & Company, a multinational medical technology company, serving as President of Becton Dickinson Medical from 1984 through 1992.
