Beier Group is a forward-looking innovator and manufacturer in the technical textiles and personal protective equipment industries. We are advancing on our vision of local manufacturing powered by a diverse workforce and an enduring belief in industrialisation as the right choice for transforming South Africa’s future.

◍ Pioneering people ◍

Behind our world-class products lies a wealth of expert technical knowledge and in-depth experience honed over the past 90 years. This commitment to product excellence is our strength as a manufacturer. But it’s our investment in people that is our strength as a business. At Beier, we believe that when diverse people and perspectives come together, pioneering innovation happens. That’s why we’re committed to achieving truly empowered black ownership and to growing a workforce that reflects our South African society.

◍ Meaningful transformation ◍

We embarked on our transformation journey in 2004, with black shareholders purchasing a 26% stake of the company. Today, that figure stands at 51.25%, and our shareholder team of highly qualified and experienced individuals has been key in achieving the group’s success. A truly visionary business recognises its role in addressing South Africa’s economic and social challenges, so we’re committed to meaningful transformation, manufacturing locally and championing small businesses and suppliers. Through our youth education and skills development programmes, we’re also investing in the pioneers and innovators of the future.
