Bert Compaan

Bert Compaan is the Head of Seed Research at Bejo, a position held since 2024. Previously, they served as a Research Manager in Seed Pathology and Seed Physiologist at Bejo Zaden from 2016 to 2024, focusing on seed germination, dormancy, storability, and priming. Bert also worked as a Seed Physiologist at Enza Zaden from 2003 to 2008. They earned a Master’s degree in Molecular Sciences and a PhD in Molecular Biology from Wageningen University & Research between 1993 and 2003.
