Per Snell has extensive experience in the field of plant biotechnology, currently serving as a Senior Researcher (Lead) in marker technology and genomics at Bejo since November 2024, leading research on carrot, chicory, celery, fennel, and root parsley. Prior to this, Per held the position of Genetic Project Lead at DLF Beet Seed from December 2019 to June 2023 and subsequently became the Head of Research and Innovation at the same company from June 2023 to November 2024. Per's early career includes roles as an Instructor and Soldier in Försvarsmakten, with international service in Afghanistan, and also as a Field Assistant at Uppsala University. Educationally, Per Snell holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Plant Biotechnology from SLU - Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet (2015-2019), a Master’s degree in Plant Biotechnology from Uppsala University (2012-2014), and a Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology/Biology from Uppsala University (2008-2012).
