Peter Hostyn

Peter Hostyn has a strong background in the textile industry, with extensive experience in research and development, innovation, and project management. Peter joined BekaertDeslee in 2021 as the Head of R&D functional technologies. Prior to that, they held various roles at BEKAERTDESLEE INNOVATION from 2018 to 2021, including Head of Development and Head of Innovation, Development & Engineering - Finishing & functionalities. From 2007 to 2018, they worked at DesleeClama as a Group Project Manager and R&D project engineer. Peter started their career at De Witte Lietaer in 1987, where they were responsible for the finishing department. Overall, Peter has a wealth of experience in driving innovation and managing projects in the textile industry.

Peter Hostyn completed a Master's degree in Chemistry from Université de Namur between 1981 and 1985. Recently, they pursued a Postgraduate Degree in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from KU Leuven from 2020 to 2021, as well as another Postgraduate Degree in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies from the same institution during the same time period.
