Roël

Roël R. Lugard is a strategic policy advisor in spatial development at BEL Combinatie since August 2017, focusing on the development and guidance of complex spatial plans and projects for the municipalities of Blaricum, Eemnes, and Laren. Prior to this role, Roël served as a policy advisor in spatial planning and held various positions in building permit assessment and granting, including experience as a senior building permit assessor. Roël's career spans over two decades in municipal building regulations, including work as an advisor and project leader in architectural advice committees. Educational qualifications include advanced training in environmental advising for government and a bachelor's degree in structural engineering. Roël also chaired the network organization SaMON, supporting Marron communities in the Netherlands and Suriname from 2006 to 2011.
