Ben Ackerley began their work experience in the horticulture field as a Horticulturist at Spring Grove Cemetery & Arboretum in 2014. Ben then moved on to work as a Horticulturist at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden from 2015 to 2016. In 2016, they joined the Atlanta Botanical Garden as a Horticulturist and worked there until 2017. From 2017 to 2018, they served as a Garden Manager at Woodlands Garden Of Decatur. In 2018, they became the Principal/Owner of Katsura. Currently, they work as a Video Production & Content Designer at BELAY, a position they started in August 2021.
Ben Ackerley attended the University of Cincinnati from 2013 to 2017, where they studied Horticulture. Before that, they also attended The University of Georgia from 2005 to 2010, although the specific field of study is unknown. In addition to their formal education, Ben Ackerley obtained a certification in "Sample Badge" from Katsura in September 2021.
