Chris Deards

Chris Deards, Ph.D., is a Senior Advisory Engineer at Volant Partners, bringing a wealth of experience in aerospace engineering and laser technology. Previously, Chris served as a Senior Research Scientist at Lockheed Martin, contributing to projects involving fiber lasers and plasma science, and held the position of Senior Aerospace Engineer where they worked on a compact fusion reactor. Chris interned at NASA and Los Alamos National Laboratory, focusing on fluid simulation and user interface design, respectively. Chris earned a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Washington and a certificate in Systems Engineering from the University of California, Irvine, showcasing a commitment to technical excellence.
