Michael Hilgner is a seasoned technology architect and engineer with extensive experience in technology assessment, standardization, and development within the fields of electrical engineering and automation. Currently serving as Principal Technology Architect at Belden Inc., Michael specializes in technology prototyping and assessment. Prior roles include Senior Technology Architect at Belden, where responsibilities encompassed technology scouting and migration strategies for Single-Pair Ethernet and related applications, and Principal Engineer at TE Connectivity, focusing on automotive technologies and standards in electric vehicle systems. Michael has also taken leadership roles in standardization efforts across various organizations, including VDE and Nokia, and holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, and Communication Technology from Technische Universität Darmstadt.
