Catherine Willems

Catherine Willems is currently the Head of Region Americas and South-Asia at Belfius, having held various roles within the company, including Head of Digital Office and Senior Manager of Trade & Banks Relationships. Prior to this, they served as a principal legal advisor, where they developed a passion for payments and contributed to key regulatory implementations and innovative projects. Catherine has also worked as a juridisch attaché and an attorney, specializing in corporate and insurance law, and is currently a judge in commercial matters at the Nederlandstalige ondernemingsrechtbank Brussel. They earned a licentiate in law from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven.
