Gert Vanhaecht

Gert VANHAECHT has a diverse and extensive work experience. Gert currently serves as the Director of IT for Belfius Bank, overseeing various banking applications. Gert has also held positions such as a Board Member at SAI Belgium and ADMbelgium, and a Voluntary Advisor at Passwerk. Prior to their current role, Gert was the CIO of Belfius Insurance. Gert has also held various leadership positions at Belfius Bank, Dexia, Artesia Banking Corporation, BACOB Bank s.c., and BACOB Bank. Gert has a strong background in IT development, distribution channels, customer relationship management, and development architecture. Gert has a track record of driving innovation and introducing agile development practices.

Gert Vanhaecht completed their education at different institutions. From 1983 to 1989, they attended Onze-Lieve-Vrouwecollege Vilvoorde, where they focused on mathematics. Gert then pursued a degree in Commercial Engineering - Handelsingenieur from KU Leuven, specializing in Production and Inventory Management from 1989 to 1993.

In addition to their formal education, Gert Vanhaecht has obtained certifications to enhance their professional skills. Gert completed the Lead an Organization Program, an internal MBA program in collaboration with Vlerick Business School and INSEAD, in 2010. Furthermore, they obtained the Infinite Mindset Marketing Program certification from IMD in September 2022.
