Dmitry Gorchakov

Dmitry Gorchakov is a Nuclear Advisor at the Bellona Environmental Transparency Center in Vilnius, where they utilize over 20 years of experience in ecology, radioecology, and radioactive waste management. A graduate of the Physics and Technology Department of Ural State University, specializing in nuclear reactors and power plants, Gorchakov has also worked as a journalist, expert, and lecturer, engaging audiences on nuclear energy issues for more than 15 years. They have been involved with numerous nuclear facilities in Russia and were shortlisted for the federal award "For Loyalty to Science" in 2021. Dmitry left Russia in 2022 and continues to advocate against the invasion of Ukraine and the current regime.
