Kris Murray

Associate Vice President, Partner Solutions at BellXcel

Kris Murray has worked in various roles since 1991. Kris began their career as the Owner/Operator of Ready, Set, Grow! Preschool, where they coordinated all aspects of running a state-licensed and nationally-accredited preschool and child care. Kris also developed innovative marketing tools, recruited and retained high-quality staff, and conceived and implemented developmentally-appropriate curriculum for preschool students. In 1994, Kris moved on to become the Lead Teacher of a six-session parenting class at Redirecting Childrens' Behavior, where they were responsible for empowering parents with the skills and attitudes necessary for harmonious parenting. In 2004, Kris became the Executive Director of the Alameda Education Foundation, where they coordinated fundraising events, organized teams of volunteers, effectively worked with district and school staff, and recruited and trained Foundation staff. In 2007, Kris moved on to become the Deputy Director of DonorsChoose.org, where they were responsible for a fundraising pipeline of more than $3M annually and secured corporate and foundation partnerships in new and existing markets. In 2009, Kris became the Executive Director of Young Audiences of Northern California, where they were responsible for leading all aspects of the organization's existing after-school and summer programs. In 2015, Kris joined BELL (Building Educated Leaders for Life) as the Associate Vice-President, Partner Solutions, Senior Director, Strategic Partnerships and National Director, Partner Relations. Finally, in 2019, Kris moved on to become the Associate Vice President, Partner Solutions at BellXcel.

Kris Murray attended California State University - East Bay from 1986 to 1987, where they obtained a Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential in Education. Prior to this, they attended the University of California, Berkeley from 1981 to 1985, where they obtained a BS in Psychology.
