Janet McCarthy serves as the Global General Counsel and Company Secretary for Belron® since June 2023, following a role as Chief Legal Officer at Micro Focus from March 2022 to March 2023. Previously, Janet held the position of Group Legal Director at Bupa from October 2018 to February 2022, and served as Chief Legal Officer and Company Secretary at Santa Fe Group from January 2016 to September 2018, overseeing legal matters across 50 subsidiaries in 45 countries. Other significant roles include Group General Counsel at Metalor Technologies SA from November 2012 to October 2014, General Counsel at Mitsui & Co Precious Metals Inc from August 2008 to October 2012, and a lawyer at Blake Dawson Waldron (now Ashurst) from 2004 to 2008. Janet holds a Bachelor of Economics and Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from The Australian National University and studied at McGill University. Early education was completed at Canberra Girls' Grammar School.
