Before BEMBEL-WITH-CARE (BWC) was introduced to the market, Apfelwein (German Dry Cider) was well on its way to become an unfashionable drink for elderly people. Offered in traditional, one-litre brown glass bottles with an uninviting label, this outdated product design had lost its appeal to the younger generation some time ago. As a result, the German cider market had become fragile, fragmented and weak: between 1998 and 2008, per capita cider consumption had halved.

The revolution began in 2007 when BEMBEL-WITH-CARE arrived and Apfelwein-culture 2.0 was born. BWC is a unique fusion of innovation and tradition. Once on the road to obscurity, BWC has given Apfelwein, a drink with deep cultural roots in Germany, a new future in the beverage market.
