Hyoungjun Kim

Hyoungjun Kim is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in big data technologies and software development. Currently employed at bemyfriends as a Software Engineer since December 2022, Hyoungjun has been an Apache Tajo PMC and Committer with The Apache Software Foundation since August 2014, focusing on query optimization and storage management. Previous roles include serving as CTO at bettercode Co., Ltd. from January 2017 to November 2022, and as a Senior Software Engineer at Jobplanet, where Hyoungjun contributed to a data analysis platform. Earlier career highlights include leading the development of a Hadoop-based big data platform at Gruter, architecting Naver's email service at NHN, and developing Samsung Electronics' General Affairs Support System. Hyoungjun holds a B.S. in Information Engineering from Sungkyunkwan University.
