Benbecula Distillery is dedicated to crafting exceptional whisky while shining a light on the Outer Hebrides. Founded by local businessman and crofter Angus MacMillan, our mission is to create outstanding whisky that not only reflects the island’s heritage but also contributes to the local economy and region.

We blend traditional whisky-making methods with innovative techniques to create a distinctive spirit. Led by Master Distiller Brendan McCarron, we produce single malt whisky using seaweed-enriched barley and heather-peated fires, reviving ancient practices to deliver a unique sweet, smoky, marine character.

Our distillery is committed to sustainability, creating local jobs, and boosting tourism to the Outer Hebrides.
