David Black

David Black is an experienced infrastructure engineer currently with Benchling, where responsibilities include leading a team in the development of next-generation SOA tooling and overseeing the migration to EKS Kubernetes. Prior experience includes roles as a DevOps Engineer at Autodesk and a Data Center Operations Manager at PlanGrid, where David was instrumental in building a team for AWS expansions and enhancing production Kubernetes environments. David's career began as a Software Engineer at bepress, significantly scaling the company's infrastructure. David holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Stanford University, earned between 1998 and 2002.
