Derek Halliday

Derek Halliday has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Derek is currently the Head of Product - Applications at Benchling since April 2021. Prior to this, Derek served as the VP Product Management at HOVER Inc. for six years from February 2015 to March 2021.

Between 2010 and 2016, Derek worked at The Guardian Project, where they were an Advisor from April 2012 to April 2016 and a Product Manager from April 2010 to April 2012. Before that, they worked at Lookout as the Director of Product Management from March 2013 to February 2015, and as a Senior Product Manager in the Security department from November 2011 to February 2013.

Derek's earlier experiences include working as an Associate Director at Peek, a venture-backed wireless technology company from April 2008 to February 2011, and as a Consultant at Accenture specializing in the global video technology community from August 2004 to April 2008. Derek'saccomplishments at Accenture earned him recognition as one of the top 5% of their peer group in the Communications and High Tech practice.

Derek Halliday holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology and Computer Science from Princeton University.
