Jawon Breed

Jawon Breed is a software engineer with extensive experience in AWS and CI/CD infrastructure, currently employed at Benchling since October 2019. Previous roles include software engineering positions at Google from 2012 to 2017, where contributions ranged from improving performance in Java server frameworks to developing major game features for the augmented reality game Ingress. Additional responsibilities involved managing high-volume data pipelines and spearheading logging improvements for Google Offers. Prior to Google, Jawon worked at Amazon as a software design engineer, creating an inventory stocking guidance system for third-party merchants and promoting AWS best practices. An early career experience includes a fellowship at the Center of Cancer Systems Biology, focusing on cancer research simulation. Jawon Breed holds a B.A. and B.S. in Computer Science and Microbiology from UC San Diego.
