Matt Murphy is a Partner at Menlo Ventures, focusing on investments in the modern AI stack and AI-first applications since June 2015. In addition, Matt serves as a Board Member for several companies, including Harness, which is pioneering AI-driven Software Delivery Platforms; Carta, which connects private capital; and Egnyte, specializing in Enterprise File Sharing solutions. As a Board Observer at Anthropic, Matt is involved with a leading LLM startup founded by the creators of ChatGPT. Other notable board roles include Benchling, Observable, Vivun, and FireHydrant, with a recent position at Cleanlab focused on data curation for LLMs. Matt holds an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Tufts University.
