Matthew Wright

Matthew Wright, PhD, is a highly experienced professional with a robust background in microbiology and molecular genetics, currently serving as Team Lead and Senior Implementation Manager at Benchling since March 2019. In this role, Matthew has successfully managed complex projects for strategic clients, demonstrating expertise in process mapping and data modeling across various scientific fields. Prior to Benchling, Matthew held multiple roles at UC Davis, including Postdoctoral Research Fellow, where innovative techniques for high-throughput sequencing were developed. Additionally, Matthew founded Aerial Evolution, an aerial fitness company, and has held positions in molecular biology research and R&D in multiple organizations. Matthew holds a PhD in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from the University of California, Davis, along with a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology and certification as a personal trainer.
