Michael Matlock is currently the Chief Accounting Officer at Benchling and previously held the same position at Toast, bringing over 20 years of experience in accounting and finance. They have worked extensively with high-growth software-as-a-service (SaaS), fintech, and mobile gaming companies, advising on IPOs, SOX implementation, and revenue recognition issues. Michael also served as an Assurance Partner at EY, where they were involved in regional audit strategies and were a sponsor of EY's LGBTQ+ affinity group in the Bay Area. Additionally, Michael is a member of the Board of Directors for Larkin Street Youth Services, where they chair the Audit Committee, applying their financial expertise to support the organization’s mission to empower young adults facing homelessness. They studied at the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business.
