Vanessa Jimenez

Vanessa Jimenez is an experienced professional in the field of neuroscience, currently serving as a Senior Implementation Manager at Benchling since July 2021. Prior to this role, Vanessa worked as a Postdoctoral Scholar at the Oregon National Primate Research Center from August 2017 to July 2021, focusing on electrophysiology and studies involving Designer Receptors Exclusively Activated by Designer Drugs (DREADDs) and fetal alcohol exposure. Vanessa's academic background includes a PhD in Behavioral Neuroscience from Oregon Health & Science University, where research centered on ethanol self-administration effects on the stress axis in nonhuman primates. Earlier experience includes a position as a Research Associate and later Study Coordinator at SNBL USA, Ltd., overseeing the administration of test compounds and data collection on developmental and reproductive toxicology in macaque monkeys. Vanessa holds a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from Washington State University, obtained in 2008.
