Mohammad Shafiei is currently the Director of Design Engineering EurAsia at Benchmark, where responsibilities include being a System Architect and a member of the Global Technology Innovators (GTi) since August 2021. Previously, Mohammad served as R&D Project Manager at Sensata Technologies from 2014 to August 2021, leading multiple new product development projects with a team of 32, contributing to significant revenue generation exceeding 100 million euros. Earlier, as a Lead Design Engineer, Mohammad focused on translating customer requirements into competitive technical solutions for European and Japanese clients. Academic credentials include a PhD from Delft University of Technology, complemented by postdoctoral research, and a Master of Science in Engineering Physics from Chalmers University of Technology. Additional research experience includes a guest researcher role at ETH Zurich and a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at Delft University of Technology, where expertise in physics and engineering was developed through innovative work on semiconductor-based quantum computing.
