William Olson

William Olson is the Global Director of Sustainability for Benchmark Electronics, overseeing ESG and sustainability initiatives to enhance the sustainability of manufacturing services and better serve stakeholders. Prior to this role, Bill served as the Corporate Responsibility and Conflict Minerals Leader at ASM, managing the company's Corporate Social Responsibility strategy and reporting on semiconductor manufacturing processes. Bill's experience also includes a position at Seagate Technology focusing on product sustainability and conflict minerals compliance, and a significant tenure at Motorola Mobile Devices, where Bill directed the Office of Sustainability and Stewardship and led international research initiatives. Bill holds a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
