Lina M. Tran

Lina M. Tran, PhD, is a Senior R&D Engineer at BenchSci since May 2021, specializing in data-driven insights and machine learning solutions for scientific document parsing using Python, SQL, BigQuery, GCP, and Apache Beam. Prior experience includes serving as an R&D Engineer at Vector Institute and a Post-Graduate Affiliate at the University of Toronto, where numerous contributions to graduate curriculum development were made, particularly in the Biomedical Engineering department. Notably, Lina developed and instructed a graduate course on coding and data analysis for biomedical engineering scenarios. Additional teaching roles at the University of Toronto included leading advanced physiology laboratories and developing undergraduate courses focused on theoretical ecology and quantitative methods. Lina M. Tran holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Physiology and a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience, both from the University of Toronto.
