Michael Phillips

Michael Phillips has a long and varied work experience. Michael began their career in 2006 as the Photography Editor at The Broadside. In this role, they edited photos with Photoshop, took photos, assigned photos to photographers, and created workshops to teach students about new photography techniques. In 2007, they became a Consultant at Zen Technology Inc. In 2008, they worked as a Sales Associate at Connecting Point, a Sales Associate at Joes Sports, and a Geek Squad Agent at Best Buy. Michael was recognized for excelling in job improvement and customer service at Best Buy, and was selected for employee of the month by the President of Joes Sports. In 2008, they also took on the role of Web Manager at The Broadside, where they were in charge of redesigning the website, creating advertising ideas, and implementing each new issue online. In 2013, they became the Chief Executive Officer at Bend Cloud. From 2019 to 2021, they were the Chief Technology Officer at Cascade Divide Data Centers, and is currently the Treasurer at Central Oregon Internet Exchange.

Michael Phillips attended Central Oregon Community College from 2005 to 2009, where they earned an AAOT in Business. Michael then attended Oregon State University from 2005 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management, General. Michael is currently attending Oregon State University, but has not yet earned a degree.
