Tim Koontz started their career as a Helpdesk Analyst at ARC in May 2001. Tim then worked as an IT Department Intern at Highmark Life & Casualty Group from August to October 2001. In October 2001, they joined HM Insurance Group as an Application Developer and remained in the role until May 2012. From April 2012 to May 2015, they worked as a Sr Application Developer at Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield. From May 2015 to May 2016, they took on the role of Sr IT Testing and QA Analyst at the same company. Since May 2016, they have been employed as an Information Technology Generalist at Bender Consulting Services, Inc.
Tim Koontz obtained their B.A. degree in Political and Economic Philosophy from Wheeling University in the years 1993 to 1997. Tim then went on to pursue their MBA in Business Administration from Wheeling University from 1997 to 1999. Following this, Tim earned their MS degree in Internet Information Systems from Robert Morris University from 2002 to 2006. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications including being a Sun Certified Programmer in 2003, a Sun Certified Developer for the Java 2 Platform in 2005, an Oracle Certified Professional for Java EE 5 Web Component Developer in 2010, and an IEEE Certified Software Development Professional in 2011.
