Brett Lear

Colorado Engagement Manager at Benefits Data Trust

Brett Lear is the Colorado Engagement Manager for Benefits Date Trust. In this role he manages and nurtures partnerships with state and local government, non-profit, and private-sector entities to facilitate outreach and enrollment in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

Prior to joining BDT, Brett served as the Executive Director of the Garfield County Libraries in Western Colorado. He has over 30 years of experience in public service, from frontline customer service to executive leadership positions. In his work, he has led organizations through community outreach and engagement initiatives, business plan development, budget development, strategic planning, organizational development, fundraising, and leadership development. In addition to work in the information industry, Brett has a background in government consulting.

He holds a B.A. in English from the University of Florida, and he received a Master of Information from Florida State University and a Master of Business Administration from Sonoma State University.
