Charles Lapierre

Charles LaPierre currently serves as the Principal Accessibility and Content Quality Architect at Benetech, a position held since April 2014. In addition to this role, LaPierre has held various titles at Benetech, including Principal, Accessibility Standards, and Technical Lead for Global Certified Accessible, as well as Technical Lead for DIAGRAM and Born Accessible. Prior experience includes serving as CTO at Sendero Group LLC from October 2006 to December 2014 and holding the role of Senior Software Engineer at Benetech from December 1998 to October 2006. Earlier in their career, LaPierre worked as a Contractor and Software Engineer at Arkenstone from July 1994 to November 1998. Educationally, LaPierre earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Carleton University, completing studies from 1989 to 1998.
