Benji's began as a small and humble pop-up coffee shop and operated in one of the - many - reconstructed shipping containers that were part of the Pop-Ups by the Bay program in one of Belleville's local destinations - Zwicks Park.

After three consecutive and successful summers being a part of the program, Benji's gained possession and reclaimed the old and historic Scale House - formally known as the Women's Axillary Thrift Store - and converted it into an upscale and industrial-style coffee bar.

Since opening on October 26, 2023, Benji's has become a popular destination for Belleville's local - and growing - population and has also become a strong addition to the local coffee culture.
