Layla M.

Layla M. is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with nine years of experience in community and educational mental health, and is certified as a School Social Worker. They hold a Master of Arts in Sociology and a Master of Social Work from North Carolina Central University. Currently a Doctoral candidate at Liberty University pursuing an Ed.D. in Community Counseling and Traumatology, Layla established Vibrant Healing PLLC to provide counseling services with a focus on children, families, and people of color. They have held various roles, including School Social Worker at Durham Public Schools, where they were awarded the 2018 DPS School Social Worker of the Year, and are now serving as the Associate Director of Counseling Services at Bennett College. Passionate about mental health advocacy, Layla works to empower individuals and reduce stigma, striving to create accessible mental health conversations in underserved communities.
