Michael Shakra is currently a Partner in Restructuring & Insolvency at Bennett Jones, having previously served as an Associate in the same field from 2019 to 2021. Prior to this role, Michael was an Associate Lawyer at Thornton Grout Finnigan LLP from 2013 to 2016 and worked as an Insolvency & Restructuring Associate at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP from 2016 to 2019. Michael also held a position as a Short Term Consultant in Debt Resolution & Business Exit with The World Bank Group in 2011 and completed their articling at Thornton Grout Finnigan LLP in 2012-2013. Michael is currently pursuing a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from The University of Western Ontario and holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Philosophy from York University.
