Michael Smith is a Partner at Bennett Jones, bringing extensive experience as a trusted advisor and executive. Previously, at General Motors of Canada Company, they managed a team of lawyers, advising on complex litigation and regulatory matters from 2016 to 2019. Before that, at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP, they led various legal practice groups and represented major corporations in high-profile cases. Michael also served as Counsel for Volkswagen Group Canada Inc. and Acting General Counsel at Audi Canada. Currently, they are an Advisory Committee Member for the Ontario Vehicle Innovation Network.
