Jonas Souza is a geotechnical engineer with significant experience in laboratory testing, data analysis, and reporting. Currently employed at Benthic since September 2019, Jonas has conducted various geotechnical laboratory tests and specializes in direct shear tests (DSS). Prior to this role, Jonas served as a Junior Engineer, also at Benthic, and previously completed an internship at Fundacao Coppetec, focusing on field testing and instrumentation in collaboration with Petrobrás to enhance soil parameter acquisition for well initialization in the oil and gas sector. Academic experience includes serving as a laboratory monitor in Soil Mechanics and Geotechnics at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, where research involved the geotechnical characterization of residual soil. Jonas holds a degree from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (2013-2019).
