Dru Crawley is a distinguished expert in building performance and sustainability, currently serving as a Bentley Fellow and Director of Building Performance Research at Bentley Systems since April 2010. In this role, Dru focuses on key areas such as net-zero-energy buildings, decarbonization, digital twins, and smart cities, collaborating with academic institutions and researchers. Previous experience includes leading the Commercial Buildings Team at the U.S. Department of Energy, where Dru managed initiatives aimed at achieving net-zero energy buildings by 2025, and providing consultancy on energy efficiency through D.B. Crawley Consulting. Educational credentials include a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
