Patrick Couser

Patrick Couser is a Principal Software Engineer specializing in Offshore Engineering Simulation at Bentley Systems, where technical development of the MAXSURF marine and offshore floating structures analysis software is coordinated. With extensive experience in naval architecture and software development since the acquisition of Formation Design Systems, Patrick has held various roles including Senior Software Engineer and Senior Naval Architect at multiple organizations. Prior positions include ownership of Sunnypowers Limited, Senior Naval Architect and Software Engineer at Formation Design Systems, Research Associate at the Australian Maritime Engineering Co-operative Research Centre, and Naval Architect roles at BMT Seatech and Shell International Marine. Patrick Couser holds a PhD in Catamaran Performance and a Master of Engineering in Ship Science, both from the University of Southampton.
