Clemency Patman

Clemency Patman has been working in the compliance field since 2014. Clemency began their career at Oakbrook Finance as a Contact Centre Agent in 2014 before being promoted to Fraud Investigator in 2015. In this role, they completed thorough investigations into complex fraud rings and cases, managed KYC requirements, and was the principle contact for Cifas ensuring monthly data was collated and submitted. In 2017, they moved to Whites Group as a Compliance/Data Protection Officer where they were an SME on FCA regulations especially directed around AML and e-money and had expert knowledge of GDPR. Clemency also promoted a strong Compliance culture within the business. In 2018, they joined Barbon Insurance Group as a Compliance Monitoring Officer. In 2020, they moved to Cuvva and Buffa as a Compliance Officer. Her current role is Head of Compliance at Bequest which they began in 2022.

Clemency Patman received a Certificate in Financial Crime Prevention from the International Compliance Association in 2015. From 2012 to 2014, they studied Politics, Clemency'story and Sociology at New College Nottingham, earning A levels.
