David Ames

David Ames has extensive work experience in the field of veterans affairs. David has been working as the Director of Appellate Operations at Bergmann and Moore, LLC since 2018. Prior to that, they worked for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for over a decade. In their role at the Department, they served as the Chief of the Office of Quality Assurance at the Board of Veterans' Appeals from April 2016 to February 2018. Before that, they were a Counsel at the Office of Quality Assurance from July 2013 to March 2016. David also worked as a Counsel/Associate Counsel at the Office of Veterans Law Judges at the Board of Veterans' Appeals from February 2006 to July 2013.

David Ames completed their Bachelor's degree in History from Wesleyan University, where they studied from 1996 to 2000. David then pursued higher education at William & Mary Law School, graduating with a Doctor of Law (JD) degree, which they earned from 2000 to 2003.
