Michael Abel

Michael Abel has extensive experience in multifamily loan originations, currently serving as Senior Vice President of Product Originations at Berkadia since August 2019, after progressing through multiple roles at Freddie Mac from January 2007 to August 2019, including Multifamily Senior Producer. Notable achievements at Freddie Mac include expanding loan volume by 94% in 2018, generating over $33 million in profit that same year, and originating the inaugural loan within the Disaster Recovery product. Career highlights also comprise recognition as the national top producer of Very Low Income (VLI) units and developing a proprietary Excel-based tool for equity analysis.
